Update: We are having TWINS!!!!!

A few months ago I informed everyone we would be taking some time off as we were going to start IVF to start a family!! Well after all the hard work,tons of shots, dr visits and surgery we are official pregnant with two babies!!

Its so crazy and awesome and unbelievable that Im carrying two babies right now! Im a identical twin myself, I never once thought myself or my sister would ever have twins nor did I think with IVF we would get so lucky!

Our due date is all over the place since it was set the 2nd weekend of September but now we are looking at the 2nd or 3rd week of Aug, we will let these babies bake as much as they will, with my 5"1 frame not sure as I look at my growing belly where they will fit for the next 30 weeks!

I want to thank all my clients for being so patient with us and Mrs & Mr Mayer thank you for understanding why Im still editing your November wedding :) I promise you will have your disc before February 1st :) Also Mrs Salloum your shoot will be in the mail soon too!

We will be taking limited weddings for the summer months, and pretty much my schedule is already booked up with weddings and then I will be taking a few months off before the babies arrive as well as after they are here, the photography business will be on the back burner for some time! I will do my best to post on here through out our months!

I've been excited, scared and nervous all at the same time thinking about writing this post for a few weeks now! So I'll just jump right into it :)

This coming weekend will be my last weekend for weddings and shoots until March 2012! I will still be working with editing and all that good stuff with my current clients, however I will not be shooting or meeting potential clients as well as email & phone will be very limited & now you are probably asking why such a long break?!? so....

This past April a week before my birthday we found out after a couple of years of trying to start a family and lots and lots of test and doctor visits for both me and my husband that the only way we would conceive our own biological children would to undergo IVF with ICSI.

I was hesitant to just keep this between my husband and I and our very close family and friends since this is a private and big thing for us but a lot of changes will be going on and I didn't want anyone to think we fell off the earth & I know the more I talk and inform people I feel better about it.

I know most people that go through IVF go on with their normal work and lives but we have decided since this a very costly procedure and our insurance covers zip, it would be best for me to be relaxed and stress free <---- my doctors biggest remark about stress and the procedure its self is very stressful with doctor appts everyday shots and still the unknown of everything, surgery for the both of my husband and I plus there is a lot of bed rest between procedures. I will start all my shots and medication next week and there is a lot of side effects and I don't want a busy scheduled knowing I will be most likely canceling a lot around this and not to mention I will be going to the doctor every day for blood work, ultra sounds etc So its just best to take the next months off to make everything go smooth and help to bring a little miracle into this world! We have a great support system and we thank everyone who has been by our side for the past couple years waiting for a little Ulozas's baby :) but someone had another plan for us and we look forward to a rewarding outcome at the end of the next couple months!

Anna and Yomi had a beautiful early evening ceremony over looking the ocean at the chic W hotel in Fort Lauderdale! Their day went flawless {except the lovely south florida evening rain durning bridals} but it was better then, then durning the ceremony :)! The love between these two could be spotted right away! I never met Anna and Yomi before the wedding since they live in New York but between our emails and phone conversations I couldn't wait to be apart of their big day and I knew they were going to be an awesome bunch! We had a great time and wish Anna and Yomi and life long full love and happiness!!

I never write anything personal on my blog which is something I need\want to start doing soon and with that thought in mind I wanted to share that we are going on VACATION!!

{ don't worry if there are any crazy peeps that might come across this we have friends staying at our home full time}

The office will be closed from June 21st- July 11th

I have been very blessed the last 3 months we have captured 18 weddings this wedding season {one more this Saturday}! That's from March till June and 85% were out of town which I loved every minute of it! Never in my mind when I started amberphotographyworld did I think I would get this busy, but Im loving every minute of it, more love if I could edit through the 37,427 images I have here to cull and edit and send to my brides and grooms!

With all the wedding season business and meetings and all that goes into running a business, I lost 3 immediate family members my uncle 7 weeks from the other uncle who were brothers and then my great grandma the next day this month so it's been very tough with my family all living out of state and so with all this Im ready for a vacation to see my family, we will be going to Iowa {my home town} and then to Chicago & Indiana { Ron's hometown} did I mention we are driving 1400 miles to my family and then 250 miles to Ron's family and then 1098 miles back home so with all that time in the car I know I will want to get home and start working again :) it will be a nice getaway and I will be doing nothing work wise, my email access is coming off my iPhone for the time we are gone, all phone calls to voicemail {ugh I will see how good I do with this}but I will respond to any inquires the 11th of July...

Every picture I take will be for enjoyment and memories for me and my family < that Im excited about!

I want to in advance thank my brides and grooms for being patient with me getting their pictures and products to them, I will be editing and working till the minute I walk out door to hit the road & will get them out asap.

Wedding details| Islamorada Florida

This past weekend Ron and I traveled to Islamorada to capture this beautiful wedding and I can honestly say in my 3 years photographing weddings full time this was my absolute FAVORITE wedding!

The bride and groom have wished to have their wedding images set private but I couldn't help to ask for permission to share some details for my up and coming brides who are looking for that destination wedding feel but don't have to leave the state!

The wedding took place at the Southern Diversion Estate in Islamorada. It has the best spots for bridals and group shots, the back of the home is the beach and sand and in the front of the home is a huge yard of lush green grass and beautiful trees and a black top winding driveway so beautiful!! The home inside is fully furnished to a modern beach style, lots of amazing light for getting ready shots! The hair salon is right across the street and florist etc it's set up in a amazing location on the island.

Im putting this out there if ANY of my couples get married here I will take off the travel fee to be able to capture another wedding here ;) So put it on your list of venue to check out if this is your kind of style!!!

If anyone knows its the mist of the busy wedding season and we have been extremely busy shooting 1 to 3 weddings a weekend & every free minute working on edits,bridal consultations and so on. & it stays this way until we go on a 2 week vacation in July!!

This wedding was so beautiful but the sad part of this day was we were ~~rained~~ down poured for all the outdoor images we were hoping to capture after the ceremony and with a 30 min drive to the reception we missed out on some awesome B&G images, so we are planning a day after session when they return from their honeymoon!

I met Kirby and Tommy over a year ago at Mr and Mrs Shirey's wedding that we were photographing! Kirby was the maid of honor at the wedding so we all spend a lot of quality time together! I was beyond thrilled when I got the message Kirby and Tommy are tying the knot this March and wanted us to capture their beautiful day!

They are so sweet and full of love, just that couple when you first meet them know they will have a long life of nothing but love and happiness for one another!

Also this all takes place in my home town of Amelia Island so Im even more then happy to be able to get back there; except yesterday it had to be in the low 30's but felt like in the teens at the beach! Kirby and Tommy were troopers and acted like pros as if they did shoots all the time in the freezing cold :) I on the other hand had to work my magic at keeping them in the warm sun light so they didn't freeze but still capture natural low light :) We are so excited and can't wait for their wedding but for now here is a sneak of their engagement session!

But Im thankful it was with these two cause they were chill and whatever we made fun of it the whole entire evening and it's always fun to look back and laugh!

This is my last post for 2010 kinda sad the year has gone by so fast and I still have so much to post for 2010 but so excited for the amazing year of 2011 to play out! So I had to make sure I saved this for a very sweet and awesome couple Erin and Jon and their daughter Emma { who is the cutest thing ever & a great model}! I was super excited about this shoot also cause it was in a new location and let's just say I fell in LOVE! I grew up in north east florida one exit from Georgia and I so miss the back roads and the woodsy outdoors look and this is so what we got and it's right here in Palm Beach County!

Lavina and Matthew were a dream to photograph and to top it all off they did a FIRST LOOK! I can't say enough how much fun and TIME we had to photograph the bride and groom and not be on a demanding time schedule it was a dream! I love, love me some florida west coast and I knew Brittany and Chris wouldn't let me down, we met up at a local park with Christopher's family and all their 4 dogs and then headed to the beach for the beautiful sunset!!

Brittany and Chris are so adorable together.

This session reminds me that timing is everything, we booked their session a few months ago as just a anytime couple session, and have had to reschedule a few times due to weather but just a few days before we confirmed on our meeting location I received the news that Chris proposed to Brittany a little over a week ago so it turned into a engagement session!! YAY Im so excited for them and look forward to their November 2011 wedding!! Enjoy their teaser more to come soon!

I already can't wait for Tara and Josh's big day they are just that couple you wanna hang around cause you know you will have a blast! We walked around Palm Beach and caught an amazing sun set on the intercostal, we weren't finished to say good bye just yet when the sun went down so we did some night shots which I barely due except for night weddings but I love the images that came out and they were making me laugh it was hard to keep the camera still { those images are at the end} :) Enjoy and I look forward for their Feb 2011 wedding!

As soon as I met Tina and Donnie I knew we were going to have fun! Tina looks amazing for her due date being 12.18.2010 :) Some images you can't even tell she is pregnant! We started at the beach on this beautiful south florida day, but along the beach you would swear a hurricane was out there along our coast it was so windy! But they were pros and we captured amazing images then we walked the streets in land with no wind :)!

Tara and Josh complete one another in every way! I had such a blast with them this evening as we walked the streets on Palm Beach Island, we had the best of both worlds tonight east was gloomy and west was sunny clear skies and we caught some amazing sun flare along the intercostal to mess with {images coming in next post}! but the sky was unbelievable on each side of us and can we just say it was WINDY and COOL out!! This is something in south Florida we don't get enough of!

They live on the west coast and this was supposed to be their new addition Jack's newborn shoot but he came into the world a few weeks early and my schedule was full so as you can see he was growing fast and was a little over a month old but he still gave us some of the newborn looks and beautiful images, he is such a handsome guy and they make one beautiful family!

In a jewish wedding the bride & groom do not see one another for a week and right before the ceremony the groom will come out to where his bride is waiting and lift up her veil to ensure it is HIS bride under the veil & her father covers her back up.

This is their nephew Josh and this was his pose every time he came to my camera:)

When they are introduced instead of coming in and doing a first dance with one another and parents the dance floor was divided and all the woman danced on one side and then men on the other until they placed two chairs on one side and the bride and groom came and sat and everyone danced for them.

What a busy summer we have had! Im so blessed to have met such amazing brides and clients this summer!

We have decided as much as I dislike not speaking/responding to potential clients but we are taking a short 2 weeks break from telephone:emails and any other form of communication to direct all of our attention to editing and preparing, designing and putting together products for June, July and Aug clients. I know I will check emails ~~once~~ through out the weeks & try to respond if needed durning the 2 week break, but please just know we are not ignoring and not responding cause we don't want to chat! Every email and phone call will be returned starting Sept 6,2010!

I was counting the days with mom and dad of when their bundle of joy was going to arrive! Gavin is a cutie pie for starters and so laid back of course there was only a few minutes of shut eye with him durning the entire shoot { I was told he does nothing but sleep all day :)} but he wanted to make sure he was able to see what was going on for his first photo session and as you can see through out the images sleep was in there somewhere with all the yawns we captured! Also he has the most amazing nursery set up any Yankees fan would be jealous of Gavins hang out!

I love when i get out of my car to meet up with new clients I've never met {only via email and Facebook} and know as soon as I say "Hi" we are going to have fun! & that we did and to get to know one another in a 2 1/2 time frame is fun to achieve I don't believe their was a quite moment! I drove over to Naples to meet them and this was our 2nd time rescheduling due to our south florida summer wet weather, and as I left the east coast it was sunny and clear and I was so thrilled as if anyone knows me knows Im in LOVE with the west coast of Florida {and hope to soon live back over there} any who I couldn't wait to have some warm sun and a beautiful sunset flair to work with and sure enough as I get right into Naples it's lighting, hard rain drops start coming down and Im speechless, it cleared just in time for the shoot and in the end we got pretty pink evening clouds and it sure sure did beat smoldering heat and to find out it's Tarianne's favorite weather! Im excited for their September 2010 Fort Myers wedding! Enjoy a few teasers and more to come!

What can I say about this shoot other then it was a BLAST and Amanda and Matthew are so in love and they worked their shoot! I think it was the first second time I could stop giving directions on how to be as Id look through my lens and boom they were smiling,boom they looked this way and that way with out me thinking about direction and it was a nice feeling! We ended when the moon and stars were up and I can't wait for their intimate wedding in Aug!
